The only way to figure this out would be to know the total number of classes you have and will be taking, and how much weight each class has. If the courses all have the same weight and you have 8 classes left, and have already taken 24 classes (8 per year for 4 years total 32 classes).......... If you made 8 As..you would have a 2.95. 6 A grades and 2 B grades would give you a 2.88. 5 A and 3 B would be 2.88, and 4 A and 4 B, 2.8, 3 A and 5 B would be 2.78.
Of course if the number of classes in total is different my answers would not be correct for your situation. If you have more than 32 classes, you would need to earn more As, If less, then you could earn fewer As.
I am wondering though. This is a fairly simple procedure which someone college bound should be able to figure out by about the 8th or 9th grade. All steps I took were general math steps. One thing you need to learn for college is to figure things out for yourself which are not in books. All good jobs require this as well.
Good luck on getting into college. With your grades, unless you have some sort of special situation like minority status, disability or something like that, you will be able to go to community college or perhaps a second tier university (Not a "University of"). and at that I am assuming you have at least taken college prep courses. Apply to at least 5 colleges and have a back up community college. They DO look at senior grades the most, so it would be best to make as many A grades as possible, even if you have a limited social life.
Do not worry though. If you can not get into the 4 year of your choice, go to a community college bring your grades up to straight B grades or above and you can transfer.
Good luck to you.
