Europe, USA, Japan, Australia, Canada, Russia, and South Korea combined account for less than 40% of global CO2 emissions, while scientists are calling for more than an 80% cut. So to prevent global warming, you have to be able to cut emissions in China, India, and the rest of the developing world which is actually increasing emissions rapidly so as to bring energy and a better standard of living to their people.

The way to reduce emissions there is to develop clean energy that is cheaper than fossil fuel energy so these countries would adopt it. Carbon taxes, cap and trade and the like will not accomplish anything as they would make energy more expensive. The recent EPA rules would lower temperatures by .02C.

Well, we can not prevent global warming because it's all ready happening but if we could I'll start with pollution. Pollution is many reasons why we are having global warming and we can prevent pollution by not driving cars alot and smoking because the smog and smoke is getting into the atmosphere and affecting our ozone layer .
