How do you chose first name vs middle name?

How do you chose first name vs middle name?

Say for example your top names were

Alia

Isabelle

Olivia

Blake

Would you save all of those names for first names, and come up with middle names that were not your top 4, or try and match up your top names, for example

Olivia Blake

Alia Isabelle

Maybe you like Thomas and Caleb for boys, would you save the names and have Thomas and a Caleb, or use them as one name. Caleb Thomas.

I am not talking about with these particular names, just in general.

You choose the first names that you want, And once you make a decision you either use a name you didn't pick, or pick a name to honor a family or friend, mostly you need a middle name that goes with the first and last name. It needs to flow, if often is a similar name that goes well with the first and last name.

I would go with Thomas Caleb. Or, Thomas and use dad's first name for the middle name.

My boys middle names, First son has dads first name as the middle name, The youngest

son's middle name is my brother's first name

    I hope this helps.

My daughters first name is one of my favorite names and I would never use her middle name as her first name because it is the name of a cousin that passed away at a very young age from a car accident. The middle names honor my cousin, like I said I love the name, but didn't see it as a first name. The combination of all of my three kids name are perfect in my mind.

  • It really depends. Personally, we have two lists - the first is all the names we'd like to use as first names (and they are, for the most part, just random names we like) and the second is the names we'd like to use as middle names (they're all family names). We would never use our middle name list as first names, as they are all to honour family members (many of whom are still alive).

A friend of mine, however, has given her kids both first and middle names that she just randomly picked. She and her husband have a list of names that they like; they picked their favourite as the first name and either picked their second favourite or a name that flowed well with the first as the middle.

Personally with my favorite names, I save my top names for first names and just think of middle names that I feel flow well with them. That being said, I do have names that I feel are only suitable (for me) as a middle name. Example : The name Grace. I like it, but I would never use it as a first name, only a middle name. Example : The name Phoenix (girl name). I would never use it as a middle name, only a first name. Boys are the same way, example : The name Ryker, I would use it as a middle name and never a first. Or the name Jasper, I would you as a first name and never a middle name.

I hope this made sense. And I hope it helped.

I would write down all of the names I love and see if any match up as first & middle.
