94 chevy k/2500 power steering simple problem?

Update:

It doesn't work like it used to. I turn the truck on and the power steering always whines and initiates power steering a TiNY bit. It's there but I'd say at 10% of what it used to

Its either belt, pump not working or gear box or crushed hose. On yours, pretty sure the hoses are leaking at the crimp. Yours use a hydroboost?? They tend to leak as well & those systems suck anyway

Most likely the pump is done. Try flushing out the old yucky fluid while the old pump is still working. Then replace it with a new/rebuilt pump, with all new fluid.

Make sure the belt is tight enough to do the job.
