Is it just me or should the NBA just do like the NFL and just do the draft order based off record?
Like the NFL automatically gives the worst team in the NFL the number 1 pick and then so forth and so on. It would be alot easier and guys would automatically have an idea of where they will be playing.

Not that this doesn't happen in the NFL too, but in the past NBA teams would intentionally lose to get the first draft pick. By having the lottery there is no guarantee that the team with the worst record will get the first pick. Therefor less incentive to purposely lose.

Both ways seem to work. The NFL has one of the best drafts as it is made for TV.The NBA fans look forward to their draft as well as it is completly differnt from NFLs

How would guys automatically have an idea of where they are playing? They don't know when they'll be picked.
They'll know the lottery draft order on Tuesday. What did they miss out on not knowing the order for a month?

Nah. I'd say the NFL draft is perfect the way it is as a system. I would prefer that espn has a lot less involvement with it, though.

It doesn't matter, anyhow. The rules are no longer enforced in the NBA and the games are all a joke.
