Help with my future?

Hi. I guess I just need some support? I'm going into my junior year of highschool and I'm scared. The last 16 years of my life have been easy, and as a little girl I always told myself that I would make it to college and be super successful. Now that I'm older, I realize that college in expensive, and that my running and academic talents aren't as impressive of others, especially since I go to a big school. I just find it do overwhelming that the easiest years of my life are over and that I'm going to be an adult soon, and I'll have to be completely independent. I just wish I could be a little 9 year old again who could listen to Hanna Montana and never worry about her looks. I just can't believe that the easiest years are over. I find it scary that after I graduate, I'll need to decide what I do and pay for everything all on my own. I have a summer job as a lifeguard but that isn't gonna cut out the costs of college. My parents won't even be able to help with college because they're getting divorced when I move out, and they're swimming in debt as it is. Can I get some guidance? Thanks

Hey, I'm 19 and just finished my first year of college. I have some pretty bad anxiety issues, many of which stem from fear of the future, similar to what it sounds like you're experiencing. The best advice I can give you - the same that my therapist has given to me - is to just remind yourself that everything will fall into place, it doesn't have to be perfect, and you do NOT have control over everything. You just have to roll along and know that no matter what comes your way, you will make it out alive. Just do what makes you happy, and it will turn out okay.
