i do because its a screw type and loosens and when i got it done i was told to do it when i wake up and after meals

No. You do not rotate the jewelry in any piercing. The only reason people think they need to rotate the jewelry in ear piercings is because they're getting that information from the untrained retail workers using piercing guns, who have no business piercing anybody.
Rotating the jewelry only serves to force dried discharge through the piercing, irritate it, and introduce bacteria to the wound. Just like any wound, the less you screw with it the better it will heal.
