Both of my parents were teachers. I assure you, they were far from wealthy.
In Texas, a first-year teacher makes $27,540 for ten months of teaching. Most teachers have to spread that over 12 months, as getting a job for the summer is almost as difficult for a teacher as for a college or high school student. Nobody wants to hire someone who's only going to work for them for 8 or 9 weeks.
The most they can make for a ten-month period is $44,620; that's after 20 years of experience. After 20 years, they get no raises at all; that means, if they started teaching straight out of university at age 22, that by 42, they are making as much as they will ever make. It's definitely not the sort of salary that will entice many people away from other businesses or industries.

A public high school teacher's starting salary in Texas is just above $20,000, so basically enough money to pay for mcdonalds value cheesburger every two weeks.
^^Ah so closer to $30,000. So if they save up they can get a small milkshake every other month or so.

if their parents haven't left them millions then there is no way that teachers are millionaire. my sister works alot but she gets limited money as salary..i think for her, job satisfaction is more important than becoming a millionaire.

Teachers don't earn much but most of them can live by their salary. The pay increases with experience and it's often higher in major cities. See http://bitly.com/1tOpL7a .
