How to lighten my hair that has highlights in it?

LADIES PLEASE HELP!

So I got my hair done today and the hair stylist put super blonde highlights over my dark brown hair! I wanted a natural look with light brown hair not dark brown hair and the lady did the complete opposite! I want to know how I can make my dark hair blend more with the highlights. Like how can I make my hair lighter without making the highlights any lighter?! Like do I use toner or bleach? Someone please help! I need to fix my hair asap!

    I think toner will work better. Don't dye your hair continuously this can cause hair damage and breakage. Wait for few months and then use toner...

    i think your best bet is going to a different stylist and have them fix it, they can put lowlights but thats the only idea i have sorry
