He WAS a popular historical MAN. That's it. He did not have any devine powers. He had a following. What he claimed he was personally capable of has been distorted by religious documentation.

He'd throw away the cars and the bars in the world

And make sweet love to you.

Teach in love rather than judgement.

Make allowance for the confusion and misinformation of the time.

Warn those using his teaching for wrongdoing rather than healing.

Teach to be giving, for whatever we give to others will be given back to us, and our cups and barns will be overflowing.

    Laugh and drink wine.

That we cannot judge Him and His teachings as wrong because some do bad things in His name. God will tell some people that they used His name with great pride, but He never knew them, they did things for the wrong reasons and He won't accept them.

Have dinner with anyone, even the worst of us.

Teach us not to worry, but trust Him and meditate on His word and his promises of providing for us.

That the father is always loving, just, and fair. His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His thoughts are better than are thoughts, for He designed as His creations. We are not wired to understand or even like all His ways, but we will understand much more as we come to know Him. In Heaven, we will see and understand everything had a reason and purpose and was ultimately for good.

Walk by the healthy to get to the most ill and desperate to heal them.

Teach not to judge, for by the measure we judge, we shall also be judged.

Flip the tables of all corrupt government and business individuals, and order restitution for every nickel they've fleeced from the innocent and the poor through deception.

Present trophies to all who stay honest in the midst of rampant dishonesty.

Remind us we cannot both serve God and money.

    Heal every hurt and injustice.

Show how by denying Him we gain what we think is freedom, but it only ends in disappointment, corrupt company, and death. But by accepting Him we get a clear conscious, live honorably and respectably, heal and feed others... and gain endless blessing, promises of answered prayer, peace, courage, strength and power through the Holy Spirit, and the neverending bliss of eternal life in Heaven. It's like choosing moldy bread over a never ending banquet.

Reward every good deed ever done.

Teach us that God's commandments and teachings are in no way to ruin our "fun" but to multiply our joys immeasurably by protecting us from everything harmful. His paths guide us around all the quicksand and addictive bad habits humans are prone to being attracted to. His paths satisfy us so we won't look for pleasure in dark and tainted places.

Tell us the kingdom is closer than we think.

Remind us we are to be humble and not prideful.

Tell us to pray without ceasing, and remind us we have not because we ask not.

Remind us that if people hate and mock us because we follow Him, that they hated and mocked Him first. There were always those who could witness His miracles and His otherworldy teachings of love, and feel jealous or threatened enough to call him a devil and blasphemer. Which is the unforgivable sin-- to know He and His message and spirit are true and real and prompting us, but to call it evil and wrong anyway.

Teach patience and faith, that all that hasn't yet been done or fulfilled through prophecy-- will be done.

Remind us that people are suffering and dying all around the world, and we are commanded to help them, even commit our lives to doing so... it's not optional.

Explain that He is the only way, nobody comes to the father but through Him. We must accept Him to be in the kingdom.

Die a torturous death so even the most vile of us have a chance to join Him in paradise by accepting Him.

Point out that there are many more reasons to believe in Him than not, and many choose not to believe because they refuse to face the evidence right before their eyes.

Remind us that we are all commanded to spread the good news about Him and the promise of Heaven, that we are responsible for those that never hear despite being within our reach.

Forgive everyone, for most do not know what they do when they speak bad of Him.

    Love everyone anyway.

This is the Jesus I know and love.

This is the Jesus we can all know and love if we read of Him in the scriptures. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John make His nature clear, so no man can justify believing He is anything but good, true, and the best way to model our lives. Millions upon millions do this around the world, not always perfectly, but for the good of everyone... because their hearts and spirits tell them this is the ultimate truth, the ultimate love, the ultimate answer, and what we have to do.
