What do you galls and guys think about the shorter length shorts that have started becoming popular with guys over the last couple of years?

I am currently studying to become a male image consultant so I do a lot of people watching. I'll see a guy in a outfit and make mental notes on what's wrong with it or how he could elevate his style. With that being said the majority of guys I've seen do not know how to dress. Mens fashion and grooming isn't something we are taught in our younger years. The average Joe (in my local area), when it comes to shorts, prefers cargo shorts (pockets included) that go below the knee. I followed this style as a young man in high school as well. Guys do this, I feel, (with any short) because they are afraid of showing off too much skin or they are out of shape/self conscious. They find the flat front shorts that fall below the knee lame, or feminism when its actually the complete opposite. If you are in shape, show it off! Flat fronted shorts tell woman you are confident in yourself, have a sense of fashion and can be professional/presentable. They show off more skin and compliment muscle tone so its a great sex appeal tool. Just as booty shorts are to women. It screams I am a alpha male looking for a alpha woman. They can make a boy into a man in a way because It's a much more mature look. Guys are too worried about dressing in what they think is cool (which is fine) but who are they impressing if they are looking for a date/girlfriend? You get what you pay for in a manner of speaking. If a guy wears J's on his feet, cargo shorts, a video game logo graphic tee shirt, and a fitted cap with his favorite football team on it, who is he impressing? His bros? Maybe. And girl that finds that attractive is not what I would go for personally based off my experience. With the picture I attach, kind of females would I attract?
