What gaming laptop should I buy?

Should I buy low specs and upgrade ram myself?

-I think I want 2gigs dedicated graphics

-13-15in display

-SSD

-8+ gigs of ram

- >2.7 processor speed

- <$1000

-< 5lbs

Any ideas? Can anyone tell me what I want? I can go higher if it's ready out the door.

I recommend you look into the Lenovo Y50. Other great options would be the MSI GE60 or GE62, or Asus GL551JM.

Any gaming laptop should already have 8 GB of RAM, so no point in looking for one with less to upgrade.

Consider Lenovo Y50 15.6" Gaming Laptop

    http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-15-6-Inch-Gaming-Lapt...

    Specs:

    - 4th generation Intel Core i5 2.9 GHz processor

    - 8GB RAM

    - 1TB hard drive + 8GB Solid State Drive

    - NVIDIA GeForce 860M graphics card

    - Windows 8.1

This laptop already has 8GB RAM. There's no point in upgrading RAM, since it won't result in any significant performance improvement

You cannot upgrade the cpu or gpu so don't even dream about that, get the best you can afford
