Do you cough around smokers to make them feel guilty?
Just wondering... One of my friends said that he does that. I don't see it right or wrong but I just want a few opinions. Do you? If so, why?

I am a smoker. and if he did that I'd feel guilty and I'd go out of my way to move to a spot away from him. I think he's wrong in doing that. He's intentionally spreading unnecessary negativity. It's not like his cough is going to stop anyone from smoking? or anything like that. it's just making people uncomfortable. It's our choice, and many smokers have negative lives - it's the reason most of us smoke, we could do without his added negativity. He has never been addicted to cigarettes, so he shouldn't be judging people for what they do when he is inexperienced in that kind of life.

I personally don't, but my best friend does. My dad does too... even though his mom smokes. I don't because some people out there A. Don't gaf or B. Try really hard to stop. I absolutely hate when other people call out my mistakes or habits, so why should I do it to them?

No i dont. But i noticed sometimes a smoke has a pleasant scent and sometimes it stinks very mich. Also people should not smoke indoors, and if they re smoking outdoors - just move further, why make a scene? Your friend is very dumb. What he is doing is called passive aggressive behaviour

lol- I smoke and I was at a casino and a lady sat next to me and then started waving her hand In the air and doing that little cough thing - I didn't put it out, I kept right on, she sat next to me! if she didn't like it, she could have sat someplace else

In a public place, I don't see why not...smokers sometimes smoke closely to a building. I don't want to inhale someone's cancer causing chemicals out in public. They can destroy their health in more private areas.
Source(s): For the uneducated in here who think pubicly they have a "right" to expose others with second hand smoke with their own own unhealthy conditions & subject others who do not want it. Why should I move for someone only 2 feet away from me who smokes their health toxic fumes for my lungs to breathe? where is my right as a non smoker in public? http://www.who.int/gho/phe/secondhand_smoke/en/ - Anonymous6 years ago
No one would be allowed to light up in front of me,i have asthma!
