HOW CAN I BECOME MORE CONFIDENT?

Ok so I'm 18 years old and I'm a girl btw! So in my entire life I have never been in a relationship..that's right! I have never had a boyfriend. And trust me i'm not a quiet person that isolates themselves. I just started dating this guy he is 20 and things are going well so far. Except my confidence is not there in the relationship. I'm not the person who is great at making eye contact..i mean i just get uncomfortable..shy. I can make eye contact just for a little but then i have to move them somewhere. This is my first relationship and i'm really shy because I haven't experienced being with

someone before. This guy was my first kiss, first date..and he told me that he wishes that i wouldn't be so shy. I try not to be but how can I? I have been single for 17 years..do you know what that is like? I waited so long and now i finally have something. But I just want to know how can i be more confident in this relationship?

I use to be the same way where I couldn't look someone in the eyes and felt beyond shy. Truthfully I feel like it depends on the other person. If you don't feel comfortable enough to look into there eyes than maybe there just not the one. Confidence is key and that's something you have to learn , you can't love someone if you don't love yourself lovely. Maybe something new will make you confident like dye your hair , buy some new lipsticks , get dolled up for no reason and stay home put on your favorite songs and dance in front of the mirrow. Break that shy side, you'll start feeling beautiful:)
