Can I check into a hotel room without my parents?
So me and my friends are going to SC for a week in June but when we are suppose to be coming back my and my family are suppose to go to myrtle for my sisters birthday and instead of having to drive 9 hours home I was wondering if I could meet them at the hotel we are staying at but would I need my dad since his name is under the reservation or could I call him and let him tell them I'm his son or could I just switch my card for them to charge and my dad just pays me back btw I'm 18

Depends on the person at the desk/the manager if they'll let that slide. But if they talk to your dad on the phone, and perhaps he confirms the room being his by some sort of identity confirmation(payment or what not), you should be fine.

speak to the hotel. every hotel is different, in some countries 18 is not legal age.
