That depends. Does it go on to list disjointed and inane verses that are far too many for any reasonable person to read? Those I wish I could collapse like we could in the olden days when we hit thumbs down

i often use the phrase: the bible says: but i dont think i use my opinion in the message of the verse. i usually conform to church leaders and their interpretations. even though there are many things that i have disagreed with, and yet come around to accepting their teachings.

the book of mormon says that we are saved by "grace, after all we can do" so grace and works do have a place in the gospel. where as many with the book of mormon complain that the bible says we are saved only by grace because it is a free gift. i think the bom also says salvation is a free gift.

Most of the time, the dispute is not what the bible says, it's what the bible means. You and I could focus on a verse or passage and come up with different meanings for it.

My immediate reaction is that this person hasn't appreciated that they are about to quote a verbal hand me down obscurity that has been written down (probably inaccurately), translated, re-translated, updated, edited, printed, recalled inaccurately, and about to be mis-quoted.

Uneasiness that they might impose. I am good for going a long on a little bible talk. But I am a great stone-waller.
