Which of these 2 names do you feel best fits my character? (pictured below)?

Hey guys! I'm writing a story, but I'm kind of torn between which name sounds best for my character. I'd just like some opinions for consideration. :)

I know it's hard to judge because you don't know the story, but just tell me your personal opinions and impressions of each name, according to you.

The two names I'm considering for him, are Vincent and Tristan. (His last name would be Knight.)

S'more info: The story is basically an urban fantasy /scifi. This character is the prince of an alien, humanoid species which has ancient ties to earth, and although he was not born on earth, he was raised here. He starts out as a bit of an anti-hero ( my main character, Jake, thinks of him as more of a villain at first-) but they're basically on the same side, as the situation is more complicated than first appeared. Anyway, he ends up as the secondary lead, and reluctantly teams up with Jake. He is generally cold, arrogant and even ruthless at times, (but only out of what he would see as "necessity"), though, ultimately, his goals are noble, and he changes over the course of (what's planned as) a lengthy series/story. He, and Jake become friends despite major differences.

Thanks for your input! :D

Vincent suits best I think, both looks and personality wise, it's also got that noble ring to it. Jake and Vincent sounds better than Jake and Tristan in my opinion too, I know that sounds weird but I like to throw things like that together and see how friends' names compliment each other

Also I just wanted to say that that's a great drawing! I'd love to know more about your story it sounds really interesting from what little of it you've described :)

    Vincent

    defiantly Vincent

its good and suiting for the setting you are setting whereas Tristan sounds too trashy

btw i think the alien superman like being raised on earth thing is a bad idea. he also doesn't look very modernish as a character (i'm not judging you fine artwork its better than mine) but he looks to old school

Vincent knight is a brilliant name for im. It sounds right, whereas Tristan knight doesnt sound correct, not only that but tristan means knight, so his name would be knight knight. Vincent is a nice name, and if you wanted to make it italian you could also call him vincenzo, that sounds even better in my opinion!! anway good luck with your story and character!

because of the reason charleen said, I think Vincent would be better! Both suit the drawing - but I pick vincent. However if for some reason you want to pick Tristan it would be fine - Having your name meaning (knight knight) would be quite cool and you could even work it into your storyline some how (if you do that it could work very well)

    Good luck!

Vincent is a better name for two reasons.

    1) The name Tristan means Knight, so his name would therefore be Knight Knight. (I know this very well, cause one of the main characters from my urban-magic-supernatural story is called Tristan)

    2) Vincent just sounds a lot more right for him personality wise, plus he looks a bit like a Vincent.

Also, reckon you could draw me a pic of my character?

Tristan/Tristram can mean sad or noise - however it is also slang for what used to be called 'an upper class twit' particularly one working in the media so it might not ideal for a hero.

By his looks, I would say Tristan. By your description, Vincent.

My final answer will be.... Vincent Knight. It suits an alien that was raised on earth.

    Tristan, it's usual,
