I deleted the Get Windows 10 nag at C:\Windows\System32\GWX\ will Windows Update continually reinstall it?

    Not sure if you are discussing Win7 or 8/8.1 (have not seen that nag yet), but if you look through Window Updates and see an update you do not want, there should be a link or something to tell Windows Update to ignore that update or not remind you about it.

    I run Win8.1 at work, but normally run Linux at home (boots much faster and is safer). The only time I boot Win7 at home is if someone needs help figuring something out or to occasionally keep it up to date.

    You can "hide" updates that you don't want installed.
