At fault driver wants her dad and uncle to fix my totalled car. Pic attached.?

In NH, you don't need insurance. I am definitely getting insurance after what happened yesterday. Anyway, a 20 yr old smashed into me after I had been stopped for a few seconds. Neither of us are insured. I proposed she pay $1350 for totalling the car, which is $200 below the KBB.

She didn't respond to that and said her uncle and father want to fix the car. They are supposedly mechanics.

I don't want to accept because:

A. The frame is damaged and I don't trust they would fix it properly.

B. She smashed into me so why should I accept having a devalued car with an accident on the title, and be stuck without a vehicle for however long?

C. I don't trust it would look like it did before the accident due to the extent of the body damage.

What should I do?

Also, there is a financial responsibility law in NH. If she is unable to pay and doesn't, her license can be suspended until she pays. I would have to request that.

Under the law, you do not have to take your car to a mechanic she recommends. You have the right to have it fixed by professionals who know what they're doing. Tell her no, you won't be doing that. Instead, get three repair estimates, hand them to her, and ask her which one she'd prefer.

That is a major body repair. Do not let anyone but a good body shop undertake that work.

    You now need a lawyer.

That will cost more than the insurance.

When you need it insurance is very good value.

What you thought was a quick saving is now very expensive.

What would you do if you had hit a $250000 car or injured or killed someone?

I am in the UK we have very high payout limits on our insurance. No insurance the Police seize the car at the roadside.
