One of my closest friends is attending a different high school?

This is the first year I've ever felt like I've become really good friends with someone, and now she's going somewhere else. I have difficulty letting myself get close to others (in part because of my anxiety, and in part because I am relatively peerless), and this is only time I've ever felt strong emotion regarding something like this. How can I cope?

Stay in contact with her via text or email. Perhaps get together for weekend outings. These situations are going to happen throughout your life. People change locations ~ but that doesn't imply that you are not close friends anymore.

Heck, I have a closest friend whom I have never even met in person ! She lives 2,000 miles from me (all the way across the USA), but I trust her with everything and she trusts me with everything. We only have about 200,000 Facebook private messages over the past 5 years.
