Question about my treatment.?
I went to the doctor for my possible thrush symptoms, she didn't do or say much but prescribe me a treatment called canesten combine with a pessary and cream. I'm rather concerned over the fact it says on the box do not use either and see our doctor as soon possible if: this is the first time you've had symptoms of thrush. I don't understand why I've been given this for my first time with thrush if it has the warning to not use it. This is what my doctor prescribed so I have to assume it is the right treatment so how can this be ok? I really don't understand what to do with this.

The instructions on the box probably mean not to "self treat" if you have not seen a doctor first. As you have, I would follow the doctor's instructions and use it. If the symptoms don't improve, then go back to your doctor. The treatment she has supplied is not dangerous, but if it doesn't clear, then she might send you to a Gynecologist for further tests.

Call up your doctor and just say that you are a little bit confused and wondered if they could clear things up for you. They won't mind talking this thought with you, and putting your fears to rest.
