For people who get sexual reassignment surgery from male to female, can you get a yeast infection in your new vagina?

I was thinking about this while speaking to my friend who recently got a sex change (I'm very happy for her btw). I didn't want to ask because it is an invasion of privacy if I put her on the spot , so hopefully a few willing people on the Internet can answer. Can a person who got sexual reassignment from penis to vagina, can they get yeast infections or like stds? It might seem like a stupid question but I'm very curious and I want to educate myself. Im really sorry if this is offensive but you don't have to answer, I just don't want to be ignorant.

Yes, anyone can get a yeast infection anywhere and sexually transmitted infections aren't restricted to us cis people. My understanding is that trans women's vagina's are not self-cleaning in the same way as cis women's vaginas so they may require a little more maintenance, and this may mean no yeast-fighting bacteria like in our vagina's but they still have a warm moist environment where yeast could thrive without intervention (douches, pro-biotics, and yeast infection treatment if a yeast infection does take hold).

*sigh* were you aware that males can get yeast infections in the crotch area from wearing the same underwear for several days? And they recommend monistat to treat it, a feminine yeast infection salve.

I don't think so because when they do the transplantation they put a fake uterus through surgery and fake vulves. They don't use alive organs I think. Cause that'd be a very complex and expensive surgery. Anyways I think this surgery is not appropriate in any case. ...
