Beginning and end retained earnings?

if i was given financial information about a company how would I figure out the retained earnings for the end of the company year when everything else is included but the end and beginning of retained earnings?

Again I have financial information for the end of the year I just do not know what formula to use. Thanks

Retained Earnings, Beginning Balance plus Net Income minus Dividends = Ending Balance
