Non-organic seeds...?

Update:

If I grow a plant using a seed from a conventional non-organic vegetable (e.g. squash), and if they sprout but don't fully mature (e.g leaves turn yellow, no vegetable produced), does that mean those seeds were GMO?

no it does not mean the seeds were GMO - I don't know where you would get that idea.

Most likely it means the seeds caught some kind of disease.
