Y&R fans does anyone know the reason Avery was let go from the soap?

Maybe she is making the move to prime time. Or she wanted more money for her role. We will find out soon........hopefully.

Sources indicate that executive producer and head writer Chuck Pratt originally came up with a crazy plan for Avery’s departure that “would have been the worst thing the soap had ever done” and would have “been Armageddon.” However, it seems that the supposedly wild plot twist was deemed to be too much and a new plan has been put together.

Young and Restless fans are already speculating about this supposedly horrific story that was going to lead to Avery’s exit, but viewers may never know exactly what initially was proposed. Considering all of the outrageous twists and turns that viewers have seen on Young and Restless over the years, many can only imagine how crazy this plan had to have been to have been squashed for being too outrageous.

At this point, there is no word on when Jessica Collins will be departing Young and Restless, if that is indeed happening, or what happens to Scott Elrod’s character of Joe Clark.

The reason for her leaving and writing her out, wasn't said ..... yet.

There is no word on why she is leaving, could be she is tired ofthe show and want to do something else.

According to what I've been reading about the plot that was mention they were planning on her getting rape by Joe and then he murder her..but they drop it because it would be to horrific for the viewers.

I just thought she was tired of her role that wasn't going any where. She may hop on another soap and do something she likes.

I don't know but it is upsetting that she is leaving and Sage was put on contract.

Maybe she decided to leave the show, or they could have decided she needed to go because they had no new storylines for her.
