Should I report a sex line link to the police?

I'm British... For legal reasons, I will call the opposite character Bob.

On Skype, Bob added me and started chatting. I thought it was fine and got along nicely, and then Bob said "my roommate left, feel like a tease. Want to watch?" Which struck me weirdly. So anyway, i was given a link to the "free" sex line. I read the terms and conditions saying it would be £37 although the site said it would be free (crime itself there)

I consulted Bob saying "send me vids over Skype" "call me" and "I prefer pics" but all I got was the link (definitely a sex line)

As I said, for legal reasons I cannot share accurate information.

I'm under 18 so is it a crime for a cam model to give me this link? I have photos of the chat beginning to end. Should I report to the police? I'm British.

It's hard to say. I expect that in the U.S. it probably is because you're a minor.

However, in the more liberal UK, not too sure. I mean we're eventually going to "progress" into pedophilia as homosexuality is today, so as time goes on, things like that are bound to become less and less illegal till they are fully accepted, and even expected.

I'd tell the police or whatever federal organization that handles those types of things. We might as well stave off the progression into accepted pedophilia for as long as possible.

You can report it. They won't care. They won't investigate. Are you even sure you're talking to a human and not a bot built to distribute spam? You'd be surprised how "human" they are. You'll likely discover that the responses on the other end of the line are coming from some weird country, in which you have no hope of finding this person and enforcing any sense of civility.

If you are under 18 and thy knew you were under 18 it's illegal

As for the charge, if the terms and conditions mentioned a charge it's not illegal.
