In hindsight, what keepsake could you have bought for the baby at the last Christening or baby shower you attended?

I'm thinking of anything that may appreciate in value, a kind of investment, such as a coin set, james bond watch, the latest iphone or.... what?

    I like to refer to those as "baby fundraisers" - considering most people give a card with a nice check inside.
