Why were Romeo and Juliet lusting for each other (and not loving?)?

Can you give me reasons for why Romeo and Juliet were not in love, but simply lusting for each other? Thanks

Because they were young. They may have believed they were in love, but, cmon, they were together for only a couple of days. Romeo was pretty much on rebound, and Juliet... well, she's 13. Maybe if their relationship had been longer, then we could've determined whether or not they were in love or not, but Shakespeare made their relationship short. There's too much blank info to say they were actually in love.

Why must they be separate? People in love lust for each other, it's natural. I know it isn't fashionable now, but I really believe they loved each other.
