I've changed to 64 bit windows, but Minecraft doesn't work. I've tried uploading Java 64 bit and changed drivers. Still not working?

I am not very familiar with Minecraft, but I can make some suggestions.

I heard software, and an account is needed to play minecraft.

You could try typing a minecraft server's ip with an open port number inside your url address bar, and then you can see if something happens.

Do a clean install from DVD or downloaded .ISO image burned to DVD or bootable USB for Windows.

    1. If you negated this step backuyp all essential files, localte all games daves etc, backup Steam library to external drive first etc.

    2. If you you have a preloaded OEM version of Windows I pity you fool!

    ....

    Maybe it's not that bad...

make sure you didn't source he Jave install file from a porn, software download, flash game etc, general phishing or other scam site.

Get it official ffrom Oracle (the SUN shines from their codi ng rewctums for official JAVA).

    https://www.oracle.com/java/index.html

    This is the general page.

Choose your OS and version then proceed.

If you're trying to run specific program then pay attention to the verion and variant it requires then choose it.

Most programs can be run in "compatibility mode". Right click the game's icon and select "properties". Go the the "Compatibility" tab and tick the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box. This will enable a drop down menu with selections like Vista and XP... start with Vista, then XP if Vista doesn't work.

You only need to do this once- the system will remember.
