why don't they make people who work at these fast food places wear aprons anymore? I've noticed that the mcdonald's, the burger king, the Wendy's, the taco bell and subway dont wear them?

It'd be safer if they made them do it... i would like y'alls opinion on this

I'm not sure how an apron would make anything safer though some places do still make you wear them, I worked at a McDonalds a couple years ago and we were supposed to wear them because they would keep our uniforms from getting greasy, we didn't always wear them though for several reasons. Sometimes they were all dirty, which would defeat the purpose of keeping me clean, we didn't like wearing them during the summer when it's in the 90s outside and the hear index is in the triple digits because of the humidity and the air always seemed to be breaking because then that's just one more thing attached to your body, and its already hot from the weather and no AC and the grills and friers we cook with make it so much hotter than it already it. Put yourself in the situation and see if you would keep that apron on. Sometimes we would get a bunch of new people at once and the new people would get the aprons, there wasn't always enough. That's just a few of the reasons we didn't wear them though there are more.

The company probably decided that they didn't do much or the employees weren't going to wear them anyway, so they stopped spending money on them. The employees at those places don't really deal with messy food, so they probably don't need them that much.

Employees at Wendys are issued an apron once they are hired nowadays, it is a standard part of their uniform. Wether they chose to wear it or not is another matter.
