How did the 2001 Lakers go 15-1? 4 rounds in the playoffs, so they should have been 16-1? I am really confused...?

    In 2001 the first round was the best of 5 thus a team only needed 3 wins to advance

    In 2001, round 1 of the playoffs was a 5 game series so the Lakers won 3 games to advance to the next round. Round 2 and beyond were 7 game series so if you do the math, Lakers had to win 15 games to win the championship.
