Brain storming a brain fart.Need help!! Im writing a short story about an olive farmer and i need some drama or some sci fi in the story?

Once, there was a simple olive farmer who lived and worked in an orchard in the French countryside. There hasn't been rain in a while and he fears drought and an agricultural disaster. He recieves a letter that says his daughter can no longer take care of her child because of the Depression. His grandaughter comes to stay with him for werks, a keen gardener and a quick learner. Unfortunetly, she grows sick and weak and the olive farmer can't grow any olives or fruit in his orchard to boost her health. He calls the doctor who confirms it is a serious case of malinutrition. The farmer prays that night and as if by magic in the morning the olives and fruit have flourished again. Delightedly he gathers them and brings them to the little child. But she's too far gone. and can't eat. She passes away the next day and he buries her under an olive tree, one that she help plant. The farmer cries over her grave and a tiny branch begins to sprout.
