If the sample is compressed to a volume of 11.5 L , what will its pressure be?

    Apply the Combined Ideal Gas Equation :

    --------------------------------------------------------

    ( P2 ) ( V2 ) / ( T2 ) = ( P1 ) ( V1 ) / ( T1 )

    P2 = ( P1 ) ( V1 / V2 ) ( T2 / T1 )

    P2 = ( 1.28 atm ) ( 13.5 L / 11.5 L ) ( 1.00 )

    P2 = 1.50 atm <----------

    First: 1.28 divided by 13.5.

    0.09 times 11.5 = 1.09 atms
