Fission is a single energy source. Fusion is a combination. Hence the root word fuse.

Fussion is what happens when I wear dirty boots into my wife's clean kitchen.

But fusion comes from the root "to fuse" which means "to join together"

Fission comes from the root "fissure" which means a break or separation.

So fission is when things break apart and fusion is when things join together.

Fission is the splitting of a large atom into two or more smaller ones. This is reaction does not normally occur in nature. Example: nuclear bombs explosion.

Fusion is the fusing of two or more lighter atoms into a larger one. This reaction occurs in stars, such as the sun. It is stronger compared to "Fission".

Fission is the breakdown of very heavy elements (such as uranium) whereas fusion is the joining of very light elements (hydrogen), in each case converting some mass into energy.

Fission, by definition, is energy release from splitting atoms (usually uranium or plutonium.)

Fusion, by definition, is energy released when you fuse to Hydrogen atoms together to form a Helium atom.

Fusion is what powers the sun. Way more efficient, hugely powerful, very hard to control in a commercial power setting.

Gender. The first is performed almost all of the time by Women. The second is performed infrequently by Men - only when they manage to escape for a day (beside the river/sea).
