Is there a difference between a battery charger and a phone charger ?

Update:

I was telling my mom that i needed to buy a battery charger because my battery must be weak ... no charger is strong enough to charge it when its on, it has to be off to charge completely for at least 5 or 7 hours i dont really know! Anyway, my mum says that a phone charger is the same thing because it is what charges the battery.. so it is that the battery charger is stronger hertz??

Update 2:

So, a battery charger is a good investment or no?

  • Yes. Normally a phone charger is a constant voltage device (typically 5v) and there is a constant current charger built into the phone. A battery charger is usually a constant current device.
