Am a student in a professional sommelier ( wine) program. I have to taste test wines at home. Are my wine purchases tax deductable?

in Quebec /Canada. This is tasting for school activity not for personal pleasure.

Keep the receipts and any information pertaining to the sommelier program and bring it with you when you see your accountant. That way it could be deducted.

It would be the same as other school supplies like a chef class might require the student to practice cooking at home, if that is deductible yours should be too. Since it only takes a sip to taste wine it might be cheaper for all the students to share bottles of wine or taste at wineries or bars.
