Why can't mothers just let fathers have Father's Day?
To the single mothers it bugs me when I hear someone tell a single mother happy Father's Day. Not every day is a piece of S hit . We know you work extremely hard but do you need to be idolized on Father's Day to? I had a single father raise me growing up I did t tell him hapoy Mother's Day . It seems bitter and a bit egotistical to praise a women for stepping up as a parent should no matter which one is missing. Single mother or single father. It would be different if say the father past away anything the mother does would be no different weather he passed or just didn't take responsibility. So why is his exit such a big deal as well. Every parent try's there best (yes the ones that care) weather your a single mother or so gle father but to tell a mother happy Father's Day or a father happy mothers day is bull sh it to me

Couldn't agree more. I'm a single dad with two kids. Mother's Day is the day to recognize mothers...single or married. Father's Day is a day to celebrate Fathers....single or married. I don't need or expect to be recognized on a day celebrating mothers. That is their day. I don't have a vagina. Father's day is a day to celebrate men raising children. Women don't have penises. Women should quit trying to hijack the father's holiday and stealing the spotlight. They are no better at raising kids then the single fathers out there. Their stories are no harder than what the fathers have gone through. The single fathers work equally as hard as the single mothers and there are far fewer support resources in place to aid single fathers as there are yo aid single mothers.

Yeah, mothers have already HAD 'mothers day', and some mothers are too lazy to be good mothers, LET ALONE FATHERS, TOO. Look at the delinquency today, we didn't have THIS MUCH when I was young, because mothers AND fathers were home correcting and raising the kids. So, today MANY FATHERS are also to lazy to be fathers. I'm not just picking on mothers.

Well whether you want to accept the fact or not, all human beings have a Yin and Yang (male and female) part of themselves. It's just a way of recognizing that. Why make a big deal out of it?
