Are victory motorcycles better than Harley's?

Question

I have never been a motorcycle rider, I know my friend has road dirt bikes. Me and him were arguing which bikes were better and he was trying to say victory bikes were better than Harley's and I was like no way Harley's have been around forever they have to know their stuff. I stuck to Harley Davidson being the better bike through the argument

Everyone has their own opinion. Some people have an opinion and they don't even know why lol. Or they have an opinion because of what they heard without actually finding out for themselves. In the end it doesn't matter. I don't have an opinion because i've never owned a Victory. I have owned 7 Harleys over the years. Personally I like the looks of Harleys more. So I stick with what I like.

Harleys are old technology and exist solely on brand loyalty.  It doesn't actually take a lot to be better than a Harley.
Victory have only been around a few years. As more people make a genuine comparison Harley will go out of business unless they up their game a lot.

In the end, there is no "better", just what you want to ride. I'd ride a Victory if someone gave me one, but I won't go and buy one myself. 2 of my co-workers have Victory bikes, actually 1 of them owns 2!. They like them. Many of my co-workers own Harley's, and they like them. Also some Kawasaki's, a BMW or two, and a little Honda Rebel. The parking lot looks like a generic used bike lot on summer days.

Ride what you like, like what you ride, and let everyone else do the same.

By your logic Victory would have to be better because they are trying to break into a sector, with strong brand loyalty, dominated by Harley.
