Thanks for sharing your sense of wonder.
The quantum world is already contained. It is contained, as it were, at the core of the physical matter, or is it not? This is where a better question could have been, could the quantum world be harnessed for it potential, but the answer to this one is also just as uninspiring as the previous one, that, it has not only contained but also harnessed too for the greatest of its potential and for the best of its use.
Imagine the physical world to be like containment field around the quantum, but not an ordinary containment field but a one that has grown out of what it contains, the quantum state, grown as a harvest yield, and it keeps growing, keeps yielding the change in the world, the eventualities, the uncertainties, the time, the future.
I understand how enthralling it can be to envisage possibilities beyond dream, how awesomely wonderful it is to realise that the ultimate challenge and the promise exists at the core of ordinary matter, the key to the mystery of the universe locked up within the tiny but mighty heart of a single atom.
To harness, to utilise, to contain, are words for our world defining our common purposes, interpreting us for our wider but mainly physical needs. The best way forward is not to seek to know the quantum world so we may make the best of it, for I believe that is already happening. The best approach is to study how it is happening, to study the relation between the normal physical and quantum, and to know if any such divide is really in existence.

"Weirdness" simply means the unimaginable. And I can't imagine that ever being contained.
