i can not send emails or delete any messages on yahoo,,?

Drag and drop your mail to the trash if it won't delete.
Switching to Basic Mail may help if you cannot send mail using full featured mail. Go to Settings under the gear, Viewing Mail tab and get Basic Mail at the bottom of the next screen.
