Hi,
My name is Todd and I work in Dell's Social Media Support group. You don't mention which model of Dell desktop that you have so I can't give you specific help, but if you go to www.Dell.com/Support and look up your system using your service tag, you will find user and repair manuals that will show you how to replace the hard drive.
It's usually not hard to do but a lot depends on the specific model you use. Try the link above and if you have any problems reply here with more info about your model type and I'll see what I can do to help you.
