Why do liberal progressives label people bigot, homophobe, racist, sexist, etc for merely disagreeing with them?

Those labels cannot be applied lightly. You either are, or you aren't one of those names. It's not because people disagree with you.

Maybe they disagree with your bigoted, homophobic, racist, sexist views.

But without any examples, it is hard to be sure.

If you disagree with me about whether Bud light tastes better than Coor light I wouldn't call you any of those things. If you disagree with me that people should not be discriminated against just because they are different to you - well if the cap fits.

Depends on what you disagree with them on. If you believe women, muslims, gays, and blacks don't deserve equal rights then that makes you all of the above.
