Yes I always like Luke.
No, because the Luke/fluke story line.
Also with his vacation time, his story lines was getting hard to right why he leaves so long twice an year.

I will be a little sad to seem him go, When someone has been on a soap such as GH or even Days of our Lives, you get to know the character and somewhat share a bond, because you have watched these actors grow up, and get older on the show. I have not only watched Days of our Lives since 1967, I was a paid extra on the show last year, and appeared in a few episodes as a non speaking actress. Not only did I have a blast, I also was informed that two of my favorite actors, that have been on for decades, are leaving this year. The characters and the scripts are getting really ridiculous now, and with actors leaving and then bringing in new people, it just wont be the same. Everyone has to leave the show sooner or later. But Joe Mascolo (Stefano Dimera) and John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis) are both 85 and 83 years old, (Respectively) and are both leaving. Joe is in bad health. He cannot stand up for more than a few minutes at a time, that's why he is always sitting down when he is on the show. And John just wants to retire, he is slowing way down, although his daughter Jennifer, begged him not to leave the soap. I guess she does not care too much that her dad is getting up there in years, and he deserves to retire and relax, now. Change is the only constant in our lives. And when these guys leave this year, I will stop watching.

Yes! It is sad to know he is in such ill health. I always enjoyed his gruff exterior and attitude, but I especially liked the episodes of him with Laura. I remember well the wedding of Luke and Laura a long time ago. He used to play a much bigger role on that show....and time has moved on.....and I guess so will he. He left Port Charles at night on a boat....I can only wish Luke/Tony "fair weather and calm seas."

I used to be a huge fan when living in Canada at the time of the Luke and Laura story. However, he has to be somewhat ancient these days, so I'd suggest it's probably high time he retired? I wish him well and hope he has a long and happy retirement. If he's relocated to Holland, I'd love to think he might be seen on British TV - some drama?

Why would I be sorry to see him leave?
I admire that the guy wants to go out on his terms, he clearly isn't in the best health and wants to live out his remaining life (how many ever years are left) in Amerstdam, doing what HE wants to and you know what? Good for him!
As for Luke.... he hasn't been a key character in years (possibly decades) due to the fact AG keeps coming/going, which means Luke doesn't stick around long enough to drive a storyline.

Yes,because I grew up watching him and like him, especially when Laura was with him.
I guess we all have to leave at one point.
