We are headed to Paris next week and...?
will be traveling by TGV to Calais on Saturday to board a cruise to Norway. News of late suggests that the Port of Calais has many problems and that there have been worker strikes and riots. Should we expect problems?

TGVs from Paris to Calais leave from Gare du Nord , not Gare de Lyon. It looks as if things have calmed down in Calais and normal services have resumed. My husband travelled to the UK from Calais yesterday without problems at the harbour. The shipping companies are trying to clear the backlog of lorries crossing the Channel as soon as possible. Hopefully there won't be further troubles and it should not affect your trip. Enjoy Norway!
