it is only fluoride mouthwash and it is because it takes that long for the fluoride to do you any good. if you eat or drink before then you have just rinsed the mouthwash off and wasted it. it is not "bad" it is just useless to bother with mouthwash if you are going to eat right after it

Yes, because now the soda will ruin your teeth, and it washed off the mouthwash, which means it had less time to clean and strengthen your teeth. Please wash out all of the soda as soon as you can. Sodas and citric acids are probably some of the worst substances your teeth can have on them.
