Estate trust questions - what happens now?

Sole remaining parent had set up her house and farm in trust to avoid probate and tax issues.

Does the trust remain forever or is it just designed to get through the transfoer of property.

I also thought trusts had time limits 100 years etc. Is that true?

    Trusts outlive the owner. So, if people named in the trust are still around 100 years later, then the Trust continues - at least where I live. I do not know if it is that way in every state in the U.S.
