Is an amd fx 8350 and a Gtx 960 and 8gb ram good for minecraft?
I have seen people with these specs get at least 250 fps

You will average 60-120 FPS on Minecraft, but your monitor will most likely only support 60 FPS. Just because you saw someone with 250 FPS on it, doesn't mean that the monitor was showing 250 FPS. In short, even if your PC could support 120 FPS or something like that, your monitor will only show it at 60 FPS. Your best option is a 144HZ monitor like the one I have, the VG248QE by ASUS.

Overkill for Minecraft. The refresh rate on most monitors is limited to 60-75 Hz, which will not display anything over 60-75 FPS.
