will Datrex water sachets burst if frozen?

considering them for a car emergency kit, I live in Canada, so I can expect that they'd be frozen in the winter. so do they burst if frozen or are they made to handle freezing and then thawed by using body heat?

Use a flexible container that is not completely filled with water. Water expands when frozen, breaking any walled container that is tightly fitted. Your water bags are going to fail when frozen.

They will be all right if they freeze. Most any plastic water bottle or jug will expand enough for freezing. I keep a six pack of arrowhead in a small ice chest in the trunk never had them freeze over.
