Is it normal to worry about every sound you make in your apartment?

Well, part of living in an apartment (especially if you live in an apartment complex) is dealing with SOME level of noise.

Sometimes when you buy a house, you can hear what happens next door. Sometimes loud things happen.

It's another when you're vacuuming at 3am, or stomping on the floors or throwing things for no reason, it's just a matter of being considerate.

I do not think it's very common. If I need to be loud for vacuuming or something, I make sure it's during the day and not during sleeping hours. As long as you're being considerate to your neighbor, I think that is enough. You shouldn't have to worry about every single sound you make in your own home/apartment.

Not normal if it's "every" sound. But being aware of neighbors, and not running from one end of the room to the other is just being considerate. Some noise is going to be expected. Just avoid any loud noises late at night.
