If a 500 worded article is charged at the rate of $2.5, how much would 490 worded article be charged? I wanted the formula for this.?

    $2.50=500x, x being the price per word.

    Solve for x, it's 0.005. Multiply that by 490, it's $2.45. The formula is p=0.005w, where p is price and w is words

    The formula is

    C = (2.50/500)W = 0.005W (That's 1/2 cent per word)

    where C is the charge in dollars and W is the number of words.

    Don't be so tight, pay the $2.5. You can always delete ten words.
